With PPC, your company pays to be listed on those search engine results pages containing specific keywords and keyword phrases that you have designated. Many of these programs charge a fee only when a visitor “clicks” on your sponsored link.
There are other “pay for” plans, of lesser significance, with the fee based on the number of “exposures” to your ad or a single flat fee (bid) to be located on certain results pages or to be located on other websites with related content.
